New Zealand to impose fresh tourist tax soon to provide better travel experience

New Zealand recently announced plans to impose tourist tax, which is likely to become effective from October 2019 onwards. This means, your travel to this country is set to become expensive. A visitor, intending to stay in Kiwiland for more than a year or less will be required to pay a tax when obtaining their visa or the Electronic Travel Authority authorisation.Officials in the know-how informed that this move to introduce International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) comes in the wake of combating damage caused by over-tourism. As per the latest news reports, money raised from collecting IVL will be used for developing tourism infrastructure.
