900M Visitor Arrivals into Asia Pacific by 2023

It is common knowledge that tourism has become one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world, providing countless benefits in each destination. Driven by the growing purchasing power in emerging economy markets, increased air connectivity, and more affordable ways to travel, Asia Pacific is expected to receive a large influx of arrivals as the result of increased intraregional demand. Between 2018 and 2023, it is expected that there will be a 6.2% average annual growth rate of international visitor arrivals (IVAs) from Asia to Asia Pacific. The average annual growth rate of IVAs from all markets to Asia Pacific is predicted to be at 5.5% during this time, which will see the region welcoming nearly 900 million visitors by the end of 2023.
