Brazil Tourism Ministry identify festivals as inducers of national tourism

The Ministry of Tourism, Brazil will invest about R $ 4 million to support celebration of several Brazilian festivals, Tourism Minister Marcelo Álvaro Antônio said.In 2019, the Ministry of Tourism’s National Calendar of Events has 103 events already registered with this profile, in 15 states of all Brazilian regions, which begin later this month and intensify in June and July. And that number could increase by up to 37% by the end of May.According to the minister, the strong involvement of the local populations in the juninas (festivals) celebrates the regional tourism.“These events are important inducers of national tourism and attract visitors from all over Brazil and the world who want to know the cultural diversity that the country has to offer.
