First look: Inside Celebrity Edge, the much-awaited new ship from Celebrity Cruises

What will it be like on Celebrity Edge, the much-awaited new ship from Celebrity Cruises? USA TODAY Cruise is getting a sneak peek at Edge this week at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, and we're posting photos here and at the USA TODAY Cruise Twitter page. Scheduled to debut in late November, Edge is nearly 96 percent complete, according to Celebrity executives at Chantiers de l'Atlantique. As can be seen in the carousel above, only final finishing work remains.  Edge is the prototype for an innovative new series of vessels at Celebrity called the Edge Class. Designed using 3D imaging technology, the ship features cabins that are open to the sea in a way that has never been seen before in ocean cruising. It also boasts public spaces designed by some of the world's best-known architects and designers, including Patricia Urquiola and Kelly Hoppen.
