VISIT DENVER is the official marketing arm of the City and County of Denver, responsible for selling Denver as a convention and leisure destination. VISIT DENVER is governed by a board of directors, employs a staff of more than 60 professionals and counts nearly 1,300 businesses as members. It’s funded from both private and public sources, including 2.75 percent of the lodger's tax in the City and County of Denver
In 2016, Denver broke tourism records with 17.3 million overnight visitors and 31.5 million total visitors, according to Longwoods International. The study, commissioned by VISIT DENVER, found that metro Denver visitors spent $5.3 billion, while supporting nearly 57,000 jobs.
